Squat lobster daily limit

I was suprised to learn from the DFO that the daily limit of squat lobsters is only four. They are a member of the crab family, related to hermit crabs, and fall under the crab limit of 4 per day. It would take a month or more to get enough to make a meal!

Yup, lots of work but they're pretty good.

not worth the effort for m,eat but they do make good sauce.
as far as a limit...they should be treated like lionfish or any other introduced species that can be eradicated through consumption...

last trip out I must have had a dozen or more in one pull
tiny buggers with huge appendages.......oh to be a squat lobster
oops did I say that out loud

The name "Squat lobster" comes from the term "Diddly squat" Which means next to nothing to eat on them.
