whats the hali scene like in the fall in sooke?

It can be good, I don't target them that much but I've caught plenty incidently trolling for winters there in November/Dec (Great hint on location, only a few spots in Sooke you can troll near the bottom for winters!). And I've had a few battles with them in the shallow cod grounds off the some of the prime cod grounds before they RCA'd it a few years back, but the RCA only goes to 60 or 70 feet tho.

well I know you're not talking about the bay, so that leaves one logical spot.

I did answer my own question today though, I lost a 70lb+ at the surface today off a westward spot.
