The part that is missing is what any Party intends on doing. Have yet to see any politician address the issue directly. That includes NDP and Green as well as Conservative and Liberal. Let’s not just vote in someone who we hope will address the issue, let’s challenge them to provide their proposals if they want our vote. This has to become an election issue and given in BC we tend to not vote for the forerunners, we need those parties who we do vote for to commit,even though they likely won’t have a seat at the table.

Definitely an election issue in BC. We all need to ask our candidates what they will do.
What would you ask for?
As Said.......Mr. Saxton....Conservative Government. What will you do? Will you listen to Sound Science unlike tge Liberals. Will you repair habitat. Will you build hatcheries?
Will you make All users accountable? Will you make a future for our Grand and great grankids?
Well? What say you. Or......will you to be there to build that pension check and let the demise continue?

To start with
1)Do you believe that somehow banning the retention of American Hatchery salmon will help the Fraser run?If so how?
2) Do you believe that creating whale Sanctuaries for whales that are not even present is anything more than capitulation to the vocal ENGO’s
3) will you make decisions based of science rather than emotion.
4) can you explain why fin fish bans are enacted in one area while Spring non retention regulations are sufficient in others.
5) where are the results from any sound trial that support banning small boats doing 2.5 kts on a kicker due to acoustic disturbance , yet exempt larger and higher speed vessels? Show me using the Passive Sonar Equation!
That would be my start.
