Best fishing is where they school up. That changes day to day. One day they will be close to shore and next right in the middle. We use our sounders to find a school and then try to stay on them. Without a sounder I would watch to see where the boats who are hammering them are and fish that area.

sockeye fishery sounds promising...lots of action and fun! My favorite fishing honeyhole is old log dump in Cous Creek. I need some fish for winter.
