Small lake camping fishing spots

Still having a tough time trying to make plans on a small lake destination on the island to take my family for a camp/fish trip early June. Any suggestions welcome in regards to favoured spots and fishing quality.

Trying to get away fron the Tofino area.....

Vernon Lake just outside of Woss is very nice and Scenic with snow capped mountains right above thw lake. It has a good forestry rec site with numerous camp sites right on the beach. I have not fished it in June but have done well in early July.

See if you can pick up a copy of the Vancouver Island Backroads Mapbook. My friends and I have found many good lakes around port alberni that would be suitable for a family camping/fishing trip.

Thanks for the responses. I've been to most and camped at many on the island, but it has been years since I've been able to get away from the West Coast at this time of the year.

Was just looking to see if anyone had experienced an early June small lake spot that was worth looking at for a family trip.

I'll keep looking.
