I thought conservation came first but the article says all DFO can do is recommend the natives reduce their catch and the rest is up to them.

I'd welcome the Feds getting out of wild fish here in BC let the province take over we'll manage it way better ourselves.

There is a catch though - the Feds need to take their farms with them they don't get to abandon wild salmon and keep on farming. Get out of both and leave it to the province as it always should have been.
