Yes, they are old style.

I have old style 2000 GT x 3 beside me in my home office and they have certain identifying features.

1. No metal palming rim

2. Red plastic feature on the drag knob

3. Older style non water-proof drag system

4. Cylindrical handles rather than the newer plastic paddles or newest rubber coated plastic paddles

I love the old style reels and have caught lots of springs on them...

Line pickup might be a little slow on 1000 GT for springs, but a nice reel nonetheless.

Hopefully someone on the forum picks them up.
