There is so much information on the feeding response of smolt/fry predators . Seals in estuaries, tagged steelhead /coho getting munched soon after release, dogfish homing in annually on releases of smolts/ fry on the eastcoast of the Island... and many more studies and observations that are buried in the archives of DFO, MOE etc. Its not new--- but where small culls could benefit our fish resources, there is a lack of politicians and career civil servants with the balls to do anything.
