I have to hand it to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for their groundbreaking push to have the term "fish" legally changed to "sea kitten."
It's certainly about time, because if there is one thing we want to keep our children from eating, it has to be fish.
It's not just we humans who are murdering the noble sea kitten. What about the inhumane way that seals and killer whales, oops, orcas treat these Bambis of the seas? Perhaps seals and orcas also need a PR overhaul.
The next time I'm snorkeling and am approached by a Great White Sea Kitten I won't act aggressively and scream but rather garble "nice kitty" through my mouthpiece and attempt to rub its belly. Kitties like that.
