Replacing Hooks

What hook type and size are people using to replace hooks on coyote spoons ?

Is it possible to put the hook on the wrong way?

point of the hook should be facing down under the concave
side of the spoon.
good quality single 3/0 siwash will be good.

Cut the welded ring off, put on a good quality split ring, add a barrel swivel then a good qyality hook. Adding the barrel swivel makes a big difference in my opinion.

I leave the stock hook on for the first dip or two and quickly replace them with a quality siwash of appropriate size for the size of the spoon. I buy stainless and black ones from PNT.

I'm all over that swivel thing slabby. I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.

Hey Slabby-that's the first time i've heard of the barrel swivel-what do you feel is the benefit-Isn't the hook riding too far back?

Adding a swivel to spoons works really well for cohoe, especially when they do their famous roll near the boat. Try doing it to one, you won't be dissapointed.............BB
