Renfrew??

Will also be in Renfrew this weekend...
hope to get one day offshore for Halibut/Springs
and one day off the beach for silver slabs if there
any around.
:D

swiftsure was great for chickens, coho's and lings.
pretty hard to scratch up any springs though....
we got a couple low teener's
Coho so thick, you couldn't get your gear down
but only 4-6 lbs in size.
the little bugger's were even hitting the release clips

the beach seemed pretty slow, but that should change soon.

:)

Just home , very dead on the shore line area , Doug T took a 24 near Carmanah , and there was 3 in the high teens taken between the rock pile and Logan/Bonilla Pt.
Mega coho in the straits , finally got a spring of 21 lbs off of East Point and some coho in the 5 - 8 lb range(hatchery) in about 300 o 350 of water fishing purple haze hootchies with a gold insert , behind a green hot spot.

Cheers

Our group just came back from fishing Saturday - ridiculous on the halibut - limit in about 25min, then we all got out to the outer banks...coho weren't as hot as normal although we did well right in the wash and you could see the coho finning along side the boat, maybe 4:1 wild to hatchery. The springs were rockin at 160-180' thou...caught several from 8 to 25lb, and one of the boats that headed back early to Camper picked up a 28. Quite a few at the dock in the 20's as well, with an upper 30's leading the derby by the time we left.

Got real snotty out there for a while though, but more action than last years trip. No complaints.

Best take from our boats Saturday...apparently Sunday was brutally bad while Saturday one of the best of the season. Go figure.
