Hey all, just looking for some insight regarding steering options for power assisted steering on a Mercruiser 4.3 with Alpha gen 2 outdrive. I'm not going hydraulic as its not in my budget but looking at the SeaStar HPS vs Rotary Safe T QC vs The Rack. I currently have a 30 year old rack and pinion set up that has the wood handled steering wheel that is made to only fit on this system. It's feeling tired with too much play hence my wish to change, plus it won't accept any modern 3/4" shaft steering wheels.
