Thought I should post this here as well since this board has more of a VI focus.
A number of significant changes are being proposed to protect spawning fish, including angling closures in sections. Quite a few VI rivers have proposed changes, but there are significant changes being proposed for the Cowichan and the Gold rivers. Stamp River also has a change. Some of the changes will affect all anglers, not just steelhead fishermen. Ministry of Environment is inviting comments from anglers on the proposed changes until August 11. See the attached link:
