Portage inlet at low tide

Hi,

Slightly off topic...But Im thinking of renting a place at the head of portage inlet in Vic., and was wondering what our waterfront is going to look like at low tide? Does the tide run right out so it'll be just mud, or would it be passable with say a kayak at low tide?

Anyone here familiar with this?

Depends on what part of the inlet, I rented a place on admirals and some times my dock was high and dry

Hmmm, the place were looking at is almost on colquitz. Do you remember what level of tide put your dock in the mud? or was it every low tide?

I don't but every little bay is different there, the house I rented on admirals was very close to colquitz. Why don't you go look at how much water is under the dock at a specific tide?
