Port Alberni August 15-19?

Plan is Port Alberni next week, fishing the Canal up close to town (small boat).
Sound good? Too early?
We could possibly delay until by several weeks, but that creates other (domestic) problems.
Advice appreciated.

Just fished Swale and Pin(aug9,10) half dozen just legal all went back.Must still be offshore?.I hope!
