Well the early bird gets the fish. Nice 5-6 lb hatchery spring caught by my fishing partner Brent while jigging near Jimmy Jones island at 6;10 am Sunday morning. Also got 8 large crab. Not a bad day for Oak Bay

I used to have some HOT days off Oak Bay. I could launch at Cattle point in my 12 foot tinny and bang off 4 coho after work like nothing. I used to fish the gap a lot as well. Got some nice springs in there from about the size of the one you're showing there to the odd one around 20 pounds.
