After 15+ years of owning used boats, we decided to order a new 18ft Silver Streak Race Rocks hardtop through SG Power.
We have spent the last 4 months looking at welded aluminums from all the cookie cutter manufacturers.
None of them really impressed me for the price, in the 18ft range we were looking at. On a whim we decided to price out a Silver Streak and the price is comparable to the others.
I'm an avid West Coast 10 month out of the year fisherman, and I wanted something the wife and kids would enjoy in multiple roles (Fishing, exploring, tubing, etc).
We added the options that worked best for us, Yamaha 115, swing tongue trailer, dual batteries, 1250gph bilge, back saver pedestals, wired for downriggers, interior light, 7 inch Raymarine, rod holders.
The whole process has been great dealing with Dan at SG. We got down to a price we were both happy with. Shout out to Chris at Inlet though, his price was just as good, but living on the Island I went with SG.
Now the wait begins......
