Mosquito creek marina

I heard it was the big real estate division of you know who partnering up with FN.

Yep, we are ******. All those boat houses are going where exactly? Plus towing them in the straits, not many will survive. The zoom call courtesy tomorrow night ostensibly to tell us we are all ****** should be an absolute circus.

Plus what's the end game? Epic floating development? All of the newer floating homes are permitted to stay shocking...I guess they feel there is a deep line of dummies looking to drop $1.5M for a home that's sinking.

Other sheds all around us have extensive upgrades and renovations. It's clear the marina has no intention of doing repairs and reopening as a marina. The floats are indeed a disaster but they have promised for years to fix them over time. Now this...

Someone should jump on this opportunity

Schooner Cove marina is undergoing a major change too. Their end goal is to have moorage and fuel for larger vessels only as they don’t make enough out of the smaller fishing type boats. Smaller boats are too much work for not enough money to them.

They plan on eliminating the smaller slips and only having bigger ones. Also putting in new fuel dock on the outside.

“We regret to inform you that while we will implement actions to mitigate any imminent safety hazards, we will also need to permanently close the Marina docks (as described above) in the future and to develop extensive rehabilitation or redevelopment plans for our Marina,” it continued.

Few years ago, they removed access to Ambleside's launch. Then LGM got bought out by those developer mofos and kicked everyone out. This round, looks like MCM is moving out of the mooring business. Signs of the time we live in??

Is this not the standard MO of developers, let the building fall into disrepair and then say they have to demolish the building for safety reason.

That was the thought when LGM shuttered. Not sure if there was a discernible difference.
They had been jacking their rates up for a while.. people left well in advance. Its too bad - seems every launch gets closed and the marinas are disappearing. Getting harder and harder for anyone not rich to access a public resource... To bad there are no co-op marinas.
