Lake Fishing Basics - Alouette Lake

Hi all, my girlfriend and I are thinking about canoeing up Alouette lake this weekend. I read that there are cutthroat and kokanee to be had and I wanted to try my luck trolling while we paddle.
This is probably a ridiculous question, but can anyone let me know what the preferred rig is for doing this? If you use a gang troll, do you use it with lead core line, or add sinkers to the line or what? I did a bunch of canoe fishing for lakers back in Ontario using spoons and lead core, but I'm sure this is a completely different ballgame. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hey man,
That lake can be pretty spotty but if I wre going to run anything it would be an gibbs ultalight willow leaf setup ( gang troll only smaller) with a ounce or two of lead. On the end depending on what you are targeting, for kokanee I use maggots and for cuttys a small spinner. These setups have caught me lots of both but remember it is sometimes slow in that lake, good luck
