La Niña in Pacific

La Nina typically brings big snow to the PNW. Good for this ski season. Woohoo! Apex already had a near record year last season, if it's anything like that I'll be stoked.

La Nina event brings lower than normal surface water temps, which are generally good conditions for prey species salmon rely up0n, so a bit of good news. Not to mention possibly more snow.....Bring it on...got my Sun Peaks Season pass.

I dunno how people get through local winter if they don't ski or snowboard or XC /snowshoe. In the Okanagan it's the only way to get some sunshine, can be socked in for weeks at a time down in the valley. Go up high for more snow AND more sun. Live down low for minimal shoveling, play up high where there's literally ten times more snow. For me, giving up skiing would be like giving up breathing.
