Kicker bracket build

Looking to have a fabricator built a fixed kicker bracket for my Yamaha T8 to fit my Trophy 2052. I'm thinking of something similar to the attacked picture. I'd like insight on what I should build it out of (steel, aluminum?) and other general comments.

A few other considerations:
-The boat is already stern heavy, so reducing weight would be good.
-Trophy transoms aren't straight, they're slightly curved.
-I plan on powder coating it to protect it from the salt, smart?
-My kicker is a power tile, tiller model, so I need room to manipulate the tiller

Penny for your thoughts.

I've looked into the Adventure Marine bracket. Unfortunately, my transom isn't flat where it would need to mount and I'd need to drill new holes. Seems easier to just have the simple bracket made up.

Definitely no to steel. Use aluminum. 1/4” thick plate aluminum base plates.

Powder coat it if you want. But not needed.

Keep the motor as close to the transom while still being able to tilt it up completely.

Figure out the height the motor needs to be that will be out of the water at plane but still not cavitating while it’s tilted down

Thanks Corey.

Does anyone have any idea where I could source a piece of UHMW measuring ~1"x4"x12" approximately?

Where about's are you located and what are you using it for? I'm about to cut up some bullet resistant Lexan that is 1-3/16" thick.

Got some complicated angles and existing bracket holes on the transom; seems easier to have one fabbed up.

More expensive to fab up IMHO. If you can find a stock one I would do it you can. This is is one I made for my friends 18 ft trophy. Same like you he didn't want to put more holes in transom. He just replaced his existing fulton it with this bracket. We made it with 1/4" aluminum plate and it was powder coated. Sorry I only have the solid works views. I have the install pic somewhere....

There isn't anything wrong with powdercoating. The issue is some shops don't sandplast then zinc primer. Otherwise it falls off.

This is what I welded out of 1/4” aluminum to reuse existing holes
