i have a 14ft lifetimer skiff that i regularly launch at cattle pt in victoria. the launch is concrete and i pull the bow of the boat a few feet onto the concrete to steady it while i either get the trailer or park it. im careful not to drag the bow on the concrete so as to not cause damage. should i get a keel guard or am i a bit anal. it is a lifetimer.

Being welded alum you can get away with it, however if you want to keep it pristine
the keel guards are great.
I have on one my glass boat and wouldn't launch there without one now.

going to have to think about this. can't imagine doing damage to the bottom plate from resting it on the concrete surface launch at cattle pt.
