I'm Not Sure What To Make Of This....

Now that I'm finally getting old I have an annual poke and prod with my Doctor as well as an annual visit with my eye specialist in Comox. I'm at a slightly elevated risk for what's called Open Angle Glaucoma because I'm a mutant, having been born with Nail Patella Syndrome.

This year the visits came close together so I was able to get a pretty good idea of where I am in the great scheme of things, both physically with my body and also how my vision is holding up.

After my physical I was given a requisition to use for a blood test and a urine test, both of which required a trip to the lab, no big deal.
My doctor had given me another appointment to come in and get the results of those tests, and that was today.

So, after waiting a short time my Dr. came in and we exchanged pleasantries then discussed the results from my visit with my eye specialist, which had been sent to him. My specialist had told me that after 10 years of testing he was happy to note very little deterioration in my sight and that was a good thing. This was reflected in the note sent to my Dr. and he, too, was pleased.

I then asked about the results from my blood and urine samples and he set up his screen then looked through them, muttering to himself the whole time.
The bits I could make out from his muttering all sounded good, but I waited until he was finished before shrugging my shoulders and asking, "Well?"

He turned to face me then said:
"Everything is really good. On paper you're perfect."

Then, he looked me up and down and broke out laughing.

I'm not sure what that means.

Take care.

My wife looks at me like that. I feel you brother.

Was at the sawbones the other day and the receptionist scans my forehead for a temperature check. She looked at the dial and said you're normal.
Then she burst out laughing.....

I love all my healthcare professionals!
