I need some new gear...

And as of next summer I’ll be a might fine fisherman. You should see this new one of a kind glow spoon I picked up recently!
Don't be giving out your secrets before there secrets. I hope you catch your first TYEE on that spoon.

I’ll clarify... Paguy is an American, and a fine one at that! Like 99.84% of Americans he prefers the baitcast reels. He calls Chinook “kings”, but that’s okay too. Hell take a classic MOPAR over a ‘69 Camaro or a ‘63 vette, but that’s okay too.
My point is they make different kinds for different people.
Now let’s find the man some classic BC spoons!
Definitely a MOPAR or no car.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Many Yanks are using single action reels these days. I am not one of them. I have landed a few fish using them and really never got all giddy about them, especially when them Spring/King things run at the boat. I do get the slow action rods though and I do use them. They work well especially with braid. My reel of choice is a Avet mxl non levelwind lever drag. Well built made in usa reel with a great drag. The rods are Lamiglass 1066 kenai kwik cert pro.
