Hi
Running a Raymarine Dragonfly Pro 7 and am starting to find it slow and lagging when manoeuvring around bottom features. Feels like perhaps a memory or buffer issue slowing its processing down. Like, the direction represented of the boat on the screen takes a while to change when maneuvering, such that it’s hard to know what to do to land on the right spot. It also seems to get pretty confused about depth; such as while moving around slowly it reads 185 ft, then I cut the engine and set up, only for it to suddenly read 286 ft (e.g.), which is pretty frustrating.
I‘be reviewed the manual and it’s not much help. I’ve done a full reset.
Does anyone know of a way to check a sonar setup to ensure all is working well, or is it just a kind of act of faith? Seems to be a pretty critical tool and to have it maybe not working properly puts a pretty big dent in the day’s fun…?
Thanks! Any suggestions or advice much appreciated.
