How to connect HDS 8 to an ICOM IC-M412 VHF

Hello all, need some help with connecting an HDS 8 to an ICOM IC-M412 VHF radio.

The HDS 8 unit has: a yellow TX( Receive) Orange RX (Transmit), Shield (ground), Blue TX (receive), Green RX Transmit Shield (ground) wires.

The radio ICOM IC-M412 has NMEA in lead (red) - Connect a GPS receiver for position information.
Nema out lead (white)- connect a pc or navaigation equipment.

Any thoughts on how to hook it up so that the GPS coordinates will display on the radio?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My HB 788 is hooked up to my Standard Horizon. I followed the instructions in the HB and Standard Horizon manuals. On mine it was quite simple, only two wires from the GPS to the VHF.

The Lowarance elite 5 gold that I had before was quite easy to hook up to the vhf. The HDS however is a completely different animal. Did get the info that I neede though from Victoria Marine Electric. Talked to a tech there and he was more than helpful. Hopefully will get it all installed tomorrow.
