Fuel tank sealer

I pulled my tank when it started to leak and so far I have cut the ends off and cleaned the tanks. I was thinking of using a tank sealer in it after I get it welded. Anyone have any experience with the use of sealers?

I wouldn't bother, when the tank is welded the inside of it will be covered in smoke (Kind of a grey dust when welding aluminium) I doubt you would get anything to stick to it. A good aluminium tank should last a long time, I would just weld it, and follow these guidelines on making sure it lasts:

Lots of other good things on Pascoe's site as well, makes a good read.
