For Sale: Shimano Charter Special TR 2000 Lever Drag reel.
A great choice for jigging that's not super heavy duty, although I did actually reel in a 130 pound hali on it in July 2012.
Its 6 years old but has probably only been used about 8-9 times. I bought it as a back-up reel for hali fishing when I was guiding but after getting some Accurate reels it basically never got used.
Anyways its in very good shape, not perfect as it has been used a bit. I take very good care of my gear, washed with freshwater after every outing and drag backed off, etc.
When reeling its a tiny bit stiff. If you were to slap a bit of oil on it here and there you would essentially have a brand new reel as it functions perfectly fine.
Also comes filled with 80 pound tuff line.
Brand new the reel alone is 130 (minimum new) plus taxes. That amount of line would probably be at least 40-50 bucks. So I was hoping to get around $100 for the whole package given its "nearly new" condition.
Located in Victoria, would like to sell local for cash I don't really want to mess around with shipping and e-transfers etc.
