HEy there, yes I use the figure 8 retreive very oftern (also known as the continous hand twist retreive.)
I use it with both floating and sinking lines, and its awesome.
Depending on the types of lake you fish, and what the conditions are will determine what line you use.
I usually use dragon fly nymps, and leaches with this retrieve, however i also have quite alot of success with choronomids aswell.

Hi there, I use Mrs Simpson,Walker's Killer,variety of Muddlers Minnows,size of fly pending on conditions.I fish for barbel(catfish) and yellowfish,don't have trout waters at close range from my present location.
