Farmed salmon that eat tree's

Isn't that great! Well, probably better than the garbage their feeding them now and maybe less poison waste into the water.

It sounds like an interesting experiment. Trees feeding salmon. Salmon feed trees among other creatures in nature...

I don't think they eat garbage or poison. Balanced diet made for max protien conversion and health, much like a dairy, chicken, hog, or beef farm. The eventual goal being plant based protien instead of ocean biomass. It's actually a very interesting science building a profitable feed ration.

Maybe not Garbage or Poison but Food Colour dye, Antibiotics and who knows what kind of growth enhancers. Yummee

Umm food coloring ? Pretty common additive in a lot of food we eat everyday. Antibiotics only when necessary, and then a meat withdrawl period before market. Exactly like beef, dairy, chicken and hog. No growth enhancers like steriods are legal in Canada. Exactly like beef, dairy, chicken and hog. Farm salmon are as safe to eat as Canadian beef, dairy, chicken, and hog.

Interesting article Derby. Maybe a beneficial use of all the chasing and waste, that happens during logging? Not condoning net pens, but if it works for those, would it not work for land based?
