Thanks guys,

Won't see me holding a rod for awhile. Flew last week to Vancouver and had the number one orthopaedic doctor around (who happens to specialize in shoulder and elbows) work/operate on my shoulder in a private hospital.

The drugs were insane...WOW

Flew back to Vancouver yesterday for a follow up and he is happy with the out come. I am to use he arm but have no strength or range of motion yet. Will be in physio, off work, no driving my car, no booze (been sober for 7 weeks getting ready for surgery), no fishing for months.

Fly back to see the specialist in 5 weeks.

Unlocked US NetFlicks to pass the time and I am now addicted to Sons Of Anarchy. Watched season 1 the last few days now have 6 more seasons to watch.

no booze? What am I going to do with the dozen Blue Moons I have? :(

I was in the Courtenay Liquor store today, Owen. They've had to lay off staff - told me that it was because one of their best customers had stopped coming in. Wonder if that was you??

What kind of quack are you seeing????? My cardio Dr. guy just told me to get rid of the soda and stick to rum and I was good to go!!!!!

I have been dealing with a major shoulder injury for more then 5 years that as some know left me with a disability.

It is said that inflammation and booze don't mix and as many know I love my gin martini's, Fireball and Blue Moon Beer. The inflammation in my shoulder has hardened twice now and has had to be surgically removed.

2 things I was told to do prior to this opperation was stop drinking and lose weight. The drinking has been the easy part. Saving at least $200 a week by not drinking. My blood pressure is the best it been in more then 20 years.

I just really want to have use of my shoulder again and if this one thing helps the recovery and rehab process I guess its what I got to do.
