Everyday post a photo of a reel you own.

Hey! How'd did you get a picture of one of my Reels? I've had this a long time. Got it cleaned it up at season's end but haven't yet figured out a good source for graphite drag washers.
I ordered a couple of small sheets of graphite from a company in Australia at a very reasonable cost. Two different thicknesses
and re did the drag washers on all of my reels. It's quite an easy material to cut to fit

Can also try smooth drag. Send your original in and they can match them for you.

My BER BOOM spinning reel has a super powerful smooth performing drag for such a small sized reel. I have two different colored spools to remind me which line class they each hold. Full CNC made by BER Canada in Ontario.

I have never seen a Ber reel in person. They look well made and they are spendy. How does it compare to a Van Stal ? They are well made.

Guys think islanders are expensive.
I think you would find it very inviting...so far it has never failed. Still as smooth as the first day.

I waited a very long time to get one of these. A friend of mine was on the hunt for me and found this tasty little morsel. I was lucky enough to use a Cardinal for a few weeks when I as a kid and always wanted my very own. Just goes to show that if you never give up, one day when the time is right you will receive that dream. 🙂

After my month long moving escapade from one place to the next, I finally had a chance to breathe a bit this weekend. I was able to dedicate an hour to semi organizing some of my gear. Thankfully the move is over...Next.

Question since we're talking reels and rods. Is it true you shouldn't store your rods horizontally? Only vertically? Or is this just more myth and lying by fishermen? I've got all mine (10 of) on my ceiling in the garage all pointing horizontally and have never seen as issue yet. Let the dogs out!

And I thought I had a problem.🤣
Are their a couple of Barry’s custom lamiglass rods in that collection?
