B.C. environmental groups request review of tire chemical linked to salmon deaths

Conservation groups have written to the federal environment minister requesting a review of a chemical used in tires that they say has been linked to the "mass deaths" of coho salmon.

There is more issues from unregulated/regulated contamination sites along all of the waterways with fish habitat in my opinion. The monitoring of water quality need to go back to the MOM and MOE not private engineering companies/consultants. The ministry needs to stop outsourcing this responsibility.

Once that is in control then we can talk about tires.
