Elk Lake Buoys/Rowers

The Victoria Rowing Society has established a string of illegal
buoys running the length of Elk Lake. I have a letter from Transport
Canada which confirms the buoys are not approved. The Elk/Beaver
Lake Recreational Use Advisory Group does not support these un-
authorized buoys. They create a safety hazard for other boaters
and anglers. If you have problems with these buoys being there,
please e-mail Transport Canada contacts below requesting you feel
the buoys should be removed immediately.

It seemed to me that there are a lot more of those big white buoys on the lake this year than last year. I hope they disappear.
