Maybe a padlock on the fuel tank cap and someone checking the fuel regularly too. A couple jerry cans kept indoors on site would be a good backup to prevent another long delay.

we put a lock on one of our company Van this summer because of people borrowing fuel...so the would be fellow decided to just crawl under the van and cut the fuel line so he could get the fuel twice....now we have a camera on the vehicle... its sad what people will do theses days....even more so to emergency vehicles ...low lifes for sure.... karma has a way of biting people in the butt...
