Why is a 3rd world country doing the right thing while our government continues to do its best to destroy what fish remain?

I've always thought that nets should be outlawed. in oceans and rivers. all fish should be caught by line and hook... I'd rather pay the higher costs involved in the supermarket than have the resource vacuumed up by drag nets...

Something needs to be done... But the question is who is, and how many are - willing to help change it. Only when we are past the point of no return will we then realize what a disaster we have made of this planet unfortunately....
