This an older version of what you need to know if you plan on getting a job as a DFO observer. It includes all identification sheets for all the commercial species caught in BC. As well, it has identification sheets for commercially valuable seaweeds, marine mammals, seabirds , shellfish etc. Gives instructions on sampling herring roe maturity and yield. Has sections of vessel operations, and safety at sea. Good tutorial on sampling methods for BC fish as well.
