Commercial Prawners have been using tiny trebles on there lines forever. It's an effective detterent and it doesn't effect there pullers. eman

A friend of mine in Campbell River has had his prawn traps raided a couple of times over the last week or so. The last time they added insult to injury by stealing the traps as well. It's pretty sad when you have to watch your float with binocs at all times to keep some azzhole from stealing your gear.

I had 2 crab pots stolen last year, my next ones will be equipped with treble hooks. Great idea!
