Drove across the bridge tonight on way home, river is up and dirty. Risen 4-5 feet since yesterday. Up to 2.8 metres on the Duncan gauge already.
Just about the end of steelhead for this year by the time it settles down.

Just went across it.High and muddy.
Feeder creek by my house has crossed the street.(Koksilah rd)
First time in 12 years living here i've seen that happen.

I don't even have to see the river to tell you that its totally blown out. Yesterday the water 3.0m where 1-1.5 is a nice depth to fish. I wouldn't count on fishing the cowichan anytime soon.

Didn't get close enough today to check visibility but still looked muddy (and high) when I crossed the bridge this afternoon.
River level is down a bit to about 2.3 metres.

FYI, this link is to Environment Canadas website for river levels, in case you don't already have it.

Let us know how you make out if you get on the river.
