yes I have drifted the upper cowichan. well aware of the Skutz falls issue more intereested if there are any obsticles that present a new and dangerouse challenge. Sadly the last time I drifted it was 2007 in the spring. I do not get out in my boats enough that is for sure.
Funny how concerning the take out at Skutz is. Yet its really not that bad at all.
Dont get me wrong , you should be experienced but there are bigger dangers elsewhere on that upper portion.
all went well and the first timer that went with me didn't go over the falls. No obsticles on the river that were tooo perolus I would recomend watching your rods if you have them sticking up there are a few spots that could shorten or steal a rod.
