Its that time of year ! http://www.bcfamilyfishing.com/ Many opportunities are available this weekend across our province to help out those who dont get out to fish . No licences required!
At the Courtenay and District Fish and Game protective Association at Comox lake, we are hosting a community event of epic proportions!!! Bring the grandkids, kids, da wife and the grandparents up to our stocked pond and catch dinner for FREE!!! With the help of the Fresh Water Fisheries Society, our pond has been stocked with 2000 catchable triploid rainbows. ( but to spread them out-- a limit of 2 trout per person daily applies )
Saturday from 9am to 4pm , and from Sunday, from 9am to 4 pm we are inviting the world to come and go trout fishing in our pond adjacent to Comox lake . We have about 50 loaner rods and reels, and a good supply of Powerbait nymphs. We will clean your catch, label it and ice it down until you leave. The added bonus is that volunteers from Thrifty Foods , Courtenay stores will be providing free hotdogs and pop for anglers!
Got a family member that used to fish?? Or has never tried it??? This is a great opportunity to get them involved!
