Fisheries has bungled another one .Fisheries has now opened the Vedder to netting socks by the local band all the way up to the hatchery.So what else will they be catchin in there nets besides socks mmmmm.Email yr discontent to fisheries what else is it going to be For us its barbed hook only two fish blah blah blah fisheries is just ripping us off left and right I say bget rid off there jobs and the fisheries minister.

No bungle at all dude. 200,000 sockeye returning this yr,the most in decades.Natives givin a few days of beach seining and dip netting (all other species must be released) for a quota of 15,000 fish. With the river so high this yr,they are having trouble getting any at all. Sporties out there getting busted by C.Os for killing sockeye,(catch and release fishery) while out fishing for springs.

Good call Dennis.t Actually this will be the largest return ever measured to this system. If fish return in the numbers predicted limnologists may have to have another look at this watershed as the productivity of Chilliwack Lake should not be able to sustain the numbers of juveniles that will be produced.
