Black box - trolling for Rainbows

Has anyone tried using a 'black box' in an aluminum cartopper (with an outboard) for lake trolling for rainbows?

We use a couple of small downriggers and I'd like to know how effective (if at all) using one of these devices would be for this application.

if u buy a black box for an aluminum cartopper, you obviously have way to much money, and shud therefore give some of it to me<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
but seriously, i dont think its really worth it.
