Best lake for a specific venue

Hello all,

I'm looking for advice on some of the best choices for a lake for a church fishing derby. Here are some of the key factors I'm looking for.

- it be somewhere between Kamloops and Vernon as there is a church from each of those communities participating.

- accessible for boats with motors 5HP and lower.

- have outhouses or bathroom facilities on the shore.

- have an area to do a campfire.

- be a proven lake for inexperienced anglers (preferably a stocked lake).

- have somewhat of a beach where children can safely play in the water with proper parental supervision.

- not be an overcrowded lake.

Does such a lake exist or am I dreaming? I drive by Monte Lake frequently but have never been on it. I hear it has some nice trout & Kokanee in it. Is there a beach of sorts where some families could let their kids dabble in the water?

Thank you,

Thank you BGM...I'm going to have to check out Gardom as it sounds good from what I've read online.

Roche Lake is a good derby lake. Troll willow leafs on a flyrod with a grease line tipped with worm if your a newbie to Roche and you will be into fish. Troll slow, I throw out a drift sock to slow down as much as possible.
