I just instaled new M120 EIC trim tabs on my 22' Walkaround. Was thinking of adding the new re designed Auto tab control feature,

I was reading some reviews on the older sytle Auto tab control they had and many complained it was to slow and the switch led lights were to dim and not very good. Has any one here have tried the new redesigned Auto tab control system? Any reviews or comments be appreciated.

I'm kinda worried that the ATC will not work very well on my 22' walk aroung boat. We are a smaller boat and get tossed around when it's very rough and worried it will confuse the ATC. When we go up a wave the ATC will try to lower the tabs and then when we go down the wave it will try to raise the trim tabs and then we get pushed sideways at the same time and it will try to lower one and raise the other etc... Probably works well on bigger, more stable boats?? If any one has some feed back on how the new ATC system works I'd greatly appreciate it...

I don't have them on my M80's. Good info on "The Hull Truth" website, check out Tabman's discussion thread and consider posting the question there.

Yes I am on the web site, The Tabman is great! I have a few threads going there too.. like to get as much feed back as I can on this new system before I buy it..

I just finished installing the act today. Hoping to set it p on the water next saturday or sunday. Will report my findings when the sea trial is done.

I installed the ATC system tonight on the boat.. Hopefuly we can get the boat on the water this weekend and give the tabs and ATC system a go. We can compare findings on how the ATC works..

We launched the boat today and gave it a go. The ATC system worked better than I'd expected. In the calm bay we got the boat up on plane and our desired running attitude and set the "zero" settings on the ATC.. system.. now when you turn the ATC system on.. it will try to keep the boat at that "zero" plane setting that you preset it on. Traveling you can defiantly see it working. When we increased our speed the tabs automatically retracted and adjusted... when we decreased our speed the ATC system would lower the tabs down a bit.. when we slowed down allot and were going slow, the ATC would max out the trim tabs all the way down ! I felt this was way to much, you can feel the resistance on the boat and feel the motor over working a bit... at that point I just hit the ATC switch and turned the feature off... All in all it worked very well. We didn't do a long run and the water was very calm today.. have'nt really put the system to its full test yet in rougher seas.. so far I am impressed...
