Just back from 3 days in Barkley Sound. Not exactly a successful fishing trip: three Cohoes and a hali, out of 12 fish on (including three shakers). Tried the wall, Cape Beale, Kirby, Swale Rock, Diplock; and the 7 & 12 mile banks which seemed to be the most productive areas. Did not see much fish being caught. The fish does not seem to have arrived tot he Sound in great numbers. Not much bait fish showed in the sounder.

Lost some good fish, including a spring probably on its mid 20s and a good size coho. But most frustrating was the very large spring (30s for sure) that the seal took, flasher included. Those seals are becoming a bit too cheeky for my liking: not only steal your fish, but they also swim alongside your boat waiting for you to catch the next one.
