Bait tables - let's see some pictures please

I got some pieces of 1/2" Starboard to make a removable cutting table. Base size is going to max out at 28"×24" due to material sizes. I would love to see some ideas from other people's installations. What worked, what didn't? What would you add or change if you were doing it again?

Hull is 19 ft glass outboard runabout. I want the table to be removable for space saving/versatility considerations. Likely mount system will be Scotty flush mount bases - unless someone shows me something better. I have the required woodworking tools and skills.

Last question: adhesive. I was planning on countersinking and screwing most joints. Is adhesive required as well?

No adhesive needed. I made this over 10 years ago. Been on a couple boats. I use the 30 degree gunnel rod holders for both cutting board and BBQ
mine is 32”x12”

I don’t know of any adhesive that will work on Starboard. Screws are your only choice.

I used Scotty flush mounts on the base’ added the 6” extension, and then on the bottom of the board mounted scotty protruding rod holder mounts. I made it removable for easy storage or so I could use the mounts for rod holders but it’s never been moved all season.

I have added a gaff, knife and plier holders from the original version.

No adhesive just counter sunk SS screws every 4”. Make sure you pre drill the holes before putting the screws in.

This is the one I had built for my Wellcraft, worked great and stored easily behind the transom. I installed two small stainless eyes and I would put the table flush against the outside of the transom and run a good bungee cord over it to hold it in place. It was heavy enough ans made snug to fit and it never moved when under power when sitting up on the fish boxes.

Here is one I had made for my Whaler a few years back. It's mounted on a scotty pedestal base. Has thru hulls in each corner that drop down between the motors into the sea... no more guts or giblets running around the deck... all overboard nicely....

Tell me more about some of the details here please. Stainless storage drawer with starboard cutting table on top is the basis, right?
Custom table built by the boat builder (Coldwater). Aluminum cabinet flip down locking door, cannonballs and misc knives/tackle go there. 1/2” gutter outside starboard perimeter drains into central pipe which exits below swimstep. Center of starboard has cutout so you can flush out guts and gunk that may collect below.

Burnewiin mounts for whatever, cup holders, rod holders for gaffs and whiskey lines. Love it so far.

And it slips on and is clipped in place. Stubs mounted on swim grid. The one thing I did that is really good is a rubber stair tread from can tire for grip.

I used a Scotty 12” riser. Really happy with it, it’s very sturdy and at the perfect height. It all disassembles and stores nicely in the in-floor fish hold compartment, and you’re just left with the half inch square mounting plate

Here's mine. I added the flasher holder earlier this year it helps keep it a little cleaner. Hardly any fish get cleaned on it. It's more of a prep table and food/beverage holder.

Deffo want flasher storage. This looks better than the half formed ideas I had. Do the flashers stay put when the boat is planing?

I'll be adding one of those for sure.
