Personally I don't have a problem with farmed salmon from Chile, Norway, or Eastern Canada.let those areas destroy their coast lines and wild fisheries (where they may or may not still exist) It satisfies the uneducated masses and provides salmon for people that would otherwise demand more of our wild salmon and put more pressure on DFO to allow more commie fisheries. I just think that our pristine waters are better utilized by further improving on wild salmon habitat, enhancing those populations that are depressed with (yes the evil word.....) hatcheries and capitalizing on the higher value per piece that could be achieved through a further improved tourist sport fishery ( and no I do not benefit from that in any way). Economically speaking, it just makes more sense.
