Grabed from Island outfitters site...I thought it was very slow up there!

Stamp River
There are fresh fish in the Stamp. There has been fairly steady action this past week with only one not so good day. The water is very low but there are still new fish entering the river daily. Most of the regular spots have been producing. I haven t had very many shore reports so I can only speak for the guides and they have been landing 4 to 10 steelhead per day.

Anyone want to call bull$#%^ on this one

I do!talked to a buddy that runs one of Murphys jets last week, 4 fish in 2 days for 2 boats and two were summers. I was out myself on sunday. Pounded the bucket but got nada. Water is as low as it gets during the august. Metalhead and another one of the stamp regulars were there too but got nothin. Went to a spot later on where there is usually about a dozen fish layin around in the slow water and saw 1 nice lookin winter but it pissed off the second my spin n glow went by its face. This report aint bull$#%^

I go up there every weekend but im passin on this weekend unless some serious rain falls in the next couple.

I have been up the last couple wekends , No winters for my self yet.
Booked with murphy for the 27th so hopefully the rain will come,Been killing all the spiders i see.

I will agree with these numbers!!Me and nog drifted and hit 16 even though there was a plethora of jets around everywhere!!Nog is a great guide and well known in the alberni valley!!!

16 eh? that sounds a little different from yous and nogs posts on fishBC. I am doubting that this is the real Treblig????

That AIN'T Treblig, it's just another INFANTILE Imposter

As most likely know, Treblig and I did NOT drift the Stamp, rather hit the small flow for rather dismal results. AND BTW, I am NOT a GUIDE for the SweetWater by any means!!!

Fishing has been dismally slow here, water's so low you can walk across her in many places. Like mid-August low! Couple that with few in the system, and those that are in more than a tad spooked by these conditions, and you really don't have the setting for the Days of Glory as suggested by the Report noted above.

SO... yes, BS to both the info from Outfitters, and to this latest Kiddie, crawl back to the rock you slithered out from under SlimeBall!!

Nog how about showing a little decorum.

Please read the board guidelines before posting again.

I fish therefore I am.

Good News on the way Robert!

And as for the GeorgiBoy Imposter: Why don't you join your other Imposter friend under that same rock?? Oh, right, hard to do when you're One and The Same, BEEK!

Cheers,

yep just one of the usuals on this board that have wayyyyyy too much time on their hands. Maybe they should try puttin a real rod in there hands for once instead of just playin with the one in there pants..........

Well, well, look at the filth that spews forth from the mouth of Egonoggin when his drones from FBC arent around to see it. How unsurprising.

Ayup they sure are a hypocyrical lot over there that's why I got outta there.

I fish therefore I am.

aYup! Pretty much what one would expect from a couple of Immature Deadbeats that have been banned from one site after another for their childish behaviour & tantrums. Good to see you've found a place where the moderator forgives such drivel Kiddies

Carry On...

Wow, kibnd of a scary debate guys. Do you all really care that much what one member or the other has to say? Time to get out from in fornt of the computer boys and get fishin!

Along those lines, did a visit to the Stamp yesterday and I guess we completely beat the odds. Yup, the river was low & clear, yup, the fish that were visible were more spooked than a rabbit in a kennel BUT, by pretending we were fishing summs in low flows we did quite well.

We fished the Eagle Rock to the Slide. Picked up 4. Swansons picked up another 2. Gunclub to Bucket, 3 more. All in all a full and very satisfying day. All bright winters and even bonked 2 nice hens for the Christmas smoker. Didn't see very many guys out either - I guess all the doom & gloom has kept people away.

We toned it down to 8 lb leaders, small jensen eggs and peach wool with #4 red Gammies. We also did OK on small bubblegum pink spin-n-glows with mylar wings.

The key was to fish where the fish had cover and were not spooked.

I'm sure we totally fluked out, but it sure feels good to get lucky once in a while. Usually I'm the one in the right place at the wrong time!

Anyway, can't wait until it rains, but then I'll probably end up skunked!!!
