Anyone able to 3D scan and then 3D print in rubber?

Hey guys, I want to re-create a very simple butt end for my rods. A couple fell off and I can't get new ones. It's a mushroom cap basically, very simple. I thought about making a silicone mold but thought this might be another route as well.Screenshot_20230213_183848_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20230213_184258_Samsung Notes.jpg
This is getting real technical...
I could also make a sketchup model if that helped.

Everyone keeps telling me they can only get a whole new butt end, including the metal part. That's even from the Titan rep. I've been sent similar ones that didn't work also.

sorry i tried to DM but no attach file option while Dm-ing? Anyways i overlayed on a ruler so you can see the dimensions. if it works i can ship them. you can ship
me back some chicken 😂

Sweet! Thanks. I'll run down to the boat and find one of the loose ones to compare.

You can machine rubber or cork. I have done it lots. No need to get such a simple shape printed...and as for scanning, I could draw that before a guy got a simple handheld scanner out of the box.

But a whole new end is going to be cheaper. My G-loomis had a similar end and I ended up replacing it with a full rubber butt.

I currently have one off a titan sitting at Fish Assassins' house that I lost on his boat last summer and if the other 3 rods keep losing them they will all get replaced as necessary with the plain ugly solid rubber butts cause I cant be bothered to make new ones that will continually fall off.

my 2c,
D

Yeah that's a good point. Maybe there's a market for replacement ends though if I make a silicone mold ;). I've found they stick fine after I epoxy them back in. Terrible design.
